  The Swan was originally built as one of the medieval guild halls in Lavenham. It is one of the great oak-framed buildings of England. More than five centuries have seen many uses for this wonderful building including being a favourite pub for RAF, RCAF and USAAF airmen in WW2. Many of them signed the walls and now visitors come from across the world to raise a pint to their memory. Food and drink are excellent, the welcome and service is first class. Level access from the street.

  A great combination of historical and modern, this place is a great hotel and restaurant. Really friendly and helpful staff made us feel welcome and looked after. Afternoon tea was perfect and well priced and a very comfortable and quiet place to relax. Breakfast was really nice with good choice and quick service.

  Hotel is nice, decor is nice but i think the food could be better, it was hit and miss with some of the items and they seem to like putting popcorn in everything. The service however was very good and the staff attentive. The spa was very poor service, my father had booked a surprise treatment for my pregnant wife and booked the date especially because the person who is licensed to do pregnancy treatments was working. When we got there they changed it to a facial as the lady wasn't working now. No prior phonecalls to inform us, we could have swapped the night if we had known. Instead got a badly executed oily massage. When phoning up afterwards my father was told that they would give us a credit even though we would never be going back. No offer of refund.

  I've been coming to this hotel for over 20 years and it just gets better and better. The weavers spa is absolutely delightful! I would highly recommend a visit here. Be sure to leave plenty of time for indulging in the spa and walking in the countryside.
